Ph.D. Program

Expected Learning Outcomes (ELOs)

After completion of the program, graduate will be competent with the following criteria:

  1. Maintain morality and ethics in accordance with academic and social ethics standards
  2. Integrate principles and theories related to knowledge in Toxicology and related fields
  3. Apply knowledge in Toxicology and related fields to applied research
  4. Work effectively and responsibly as a team member and leader 
  5. Analyze data and effectively communicate them with technology and through research article publication in accordance with international standards

Admission Requirements:

  1. A candidate in Ph.D. Program plan 1.1 must
    Hold a Master degree in Toxicology or related fields or a degree of Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or those who study in the final year of Master Program in Toxicology and related fields approved by the Program committee, with the GPA not less than 3.50 or equivalent or candidates who have working experience in Toxicological research and related fields for at least 2 years.
  2. A candidate in Ph.D. Program plan 2.1 must
    Hold a Master degree in Toxicology or related field or a degree of Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with GPA not less than 3.50.
  3. A candidate in Ph.D. Program plan 2.2 must
    Hold a bachelor degree or equivalent or those who study in the final year of Bachelor degree in science such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Nurse, Medical Technology and Public Health or related biological science with GPA not less than 3.50.
  4. All candidates must have an English Proficiency Test Score: IELTS ≥  3.0, TOEFL iBT ≥  32, MU GRAD Plus ≥ 40 or MU ELT ≥ 84.
  5. Exemption from the above conditions may be granted by the Program Committee under exceptional circumstances.

Graduation Requirements:

  • Complete study according to curriculum structures and obtain the grading record satisfying the requirements of the particular program. 
  • Students must have a minimum 3.50 CUM-GPA.
  • Students must pass the criteria set for the English competency prior to their graduation as specified by the Faculty of Graduate Studies’ announcement
  • an IELTS score with a minimum of 5 or
  • a TOEFL IBT score with a minimum of 61 or
  • a TOEFL ITP score with a minimum of 500 or
  • Graduate students must pass the Professional and Personal Skills Development (Soft Skills) to qualify for graduation. 
  • Pass a thesis examination with the result “PASSED”
  • The thesis must be published or accepted to be published an international peer-reviewed journal.
